Background

The Department of Tax and Collections (DTAC) previously had a designated Eligibility Examiner to complete requests related to Recovery Accounts on closed programs.

Changes

The Social Services Agency has assumed all Recovery Account requests that require case review or system entries, including any requests related to closed programs. 

A Collections section has been added to Chapter 3 of the DEBS-BP Handbook, Common Business Processes. This new section clarifies who is responsible for the various Recovery Account requests and includes resources for processing these requests.

Other Programs

This process affects CalFresh, CalWORKs, General Assistance, and CAPI programs.
