CalFresh Case Rejection Criteria

Able Bodied Adults Without Dependents (ABAWDs)

1. Incorrect ABAWD determination.
2. The beginning date of the ABAWD period is incorrect.
3. The ABAWD data in CalSAWS does not match the ABAWD data on MEDS.
4. ABAWD Clock Type and Status on the calendar are incorrect.
5. “ABAWD Screening and CFET Referral Form” (SCD 2495) is not properly mailed, completed or documented and imaged into the case record at intake or RE, or when ABAWD status is screened for the first time.

Students

The student eligibility criteria is determined incorrectly and the student is ineligible.
No “CalFresh Student Exemption Checklist” (CF 6177) and/or financial aid award letter for a student household member is on file.
